What happens if I don't walk 10,000 steps?

During the 100 Day Journey, the end goal is to change physical activity habits for life. While we encourage everyone to aim to take 10,000 steps as recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO) we don't discourage you if you don't. During the journey, you’re able to break down your end goal into four mini-goals, so that it’s more manageable.

If you’re not sure what to set as your initial goal, we’d recommend starting with 10,000 steps however you can start lower and work towards this. Although the Global Challenge will naturally generate some healthy workplace competition, participation is what really counts. The Challenge is designed to enable everyone to take part and feel a sense of achievement at the end of the event, however far they’ve travelled.
